VegfestUK 2015 Summer Tour of Vegan Festivals
VegfestUK are extending our love to many of our dedicated fellow vegan events organisers – we have just decided to add a number of these to our diary and visit them all in the summer!
We’re absolutely delighted to be supporting and exhibiting at the following vegan festivals:
Viva! Incredible Vegan Roadshows
- Hereford – June 6th @ St Peters Square (HR1 2HX)
- Portsmouth – September 5th @ Portsmouth Guildhall (PO1 2AB)
Our huge friends and supporters Viva! are running 2 of their fittingly Incredible Vegan Roadshows this year, one in Hereford and another in Portsmouth.
Viva!’s Roadshows are always meticulously organised and hugely informative, with their incredible expertise on the subject of veganism provided by some truly superb speakers. Their talks and cookery demos complement very nicely with approximately 70 stalls plus free goodies and hot foods and a wealth of well researched literature. Entry to both roadshows is FREE – what better reason for those not yet vegan to come and try the delights of vegan lifestyles?
Great Yorkshire Vegan Festival – June 13th @ Leeds Town Hall (LS1 3AD)
Organised by the lovely team of Victoria Bryceson and Dan Sewell from the IAPWA, this festival enters its 2nd year and this year is moving to the prestigious Leeds Town Hall. Last year’s GYVF won widespread appraise amongst stallholders and visitors, and we’re so gutted to have missed out that we just have to go this time! Victoria and Dan have planned for everyone an outdoor summer vegan BBQ party just outside the venue in addition to the 150 stalls, talks, demos and live music inside. Plus, IAPWA’s adorable puppy Miracle will be joining the party too and sharing his incredible experiences with visitors at the IAPWA stall. This event is 100% volunteer-led and all proceeds from this event go towards supporting IAPWA’s work.
Bournemouth Vegan Fair – June 28th @ Bournemouth Pavilion (BH1 2BU)
VegfestUK are back at the Bournemouth Vegan Fair after our enjoyable debut there last year! Run by the superbly energetic Lizzi Shaw from Dorset Vegan, the 2014 edition started off with around 50 stalls and drew over 1,000 visitors in 5 hours. In addition to running her own social media company nowadays, Lizzi is expanding her event this year with the venue moved from the Highcliff Marriott Hotel in Bournemouth to the Bournemouth Pavilion. With space for over 70 stalls plus a number of talks and cookery demos, goody bags for the first 75 visitors, on top of a screening of the award-winning documentary Cowspiracy, folks in Bournemouth and beyond have a real treat to look forward to!
Edinburgh Vegan Festival – August 8th @ The Roxburghe Hotel (EH2 4HQ)
Huge credit to Louise Pinchen from Vegan Kitchen in Newcastle for bringing a first ever vegan festival to Edinburgh and the whole of Scotland!
Louise organised her first vegan festival in Newcastle last year and gained huge credits for giving Geordies and many others a taste of how wonderful the vegan lifestyle is like. Louise is going one step further in 2015 and hosts another big vegan festival in Edinburgh in addition to her Newcastle gig. We’re fully behind her and we look forward to a busy day with lots of Scots seduced to the gorgeousness of a vegan lifestyle.
So – what a packed summer for us! We really look forward to all of them and in particular having the time to speak to many of our own lovely stallholders in addition to supporting these incredible festival organisers! Plus, we wish to see many of our followers there too xxx
