Two of the world’s most famous DJ’s are to play at the 13th annual VegfestUK Bristol event in The Amphitheatre on May 23rd and 24th, as an expected crowd of 15,000 descends on what is currently one of Europe’s biggest vegan events.
Alfredo has been DJ’ing since the early 80’s and is a resident at Amnesia in Ibiza – and is famed for inspiring the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Danny Rampling, Nicky Holloway and Johnny Walker to bring house music to the UK in 1986. Now, nearly 30 years on, Alfredo’s eclectic mix of Balearic and House will thrill a whole new audience as he heads up an outdoor house party on the Saturday with his first ever appearance in Bristol.
And then on Sunday Drum and Bass legend LTJ Bukem drops an atmospheric and intelligent set of classics from an era that is still widely heralded in Bristol as the most influential outbreak of beats that was to be experienced in Bristol’s rich history of electronic dance music.
With admission only £3 before 5pm and £5 after 5pm (pay on gate), expect big crowds on both days to celebrate some true legends of dance music in the fantastic settings of the Harbourside – alongside some outstanding caterers (all vegan of course) and some choice all day bars (also all vegan). So get your dancing shoes out and throw some shapes in style at what promises to be one of the best weekends ever this year.
