Vegfest cookery fans will be absolutely pampered at our London and Scotland events by the vegan festive treats and sweets along with African Fusion cuisine to be demonstrated by vegan caterer Shambhu’s founder and head chef Nishma Shah.
A regular at Vegfest cookery demos for years, with the well-known vegan catering operation Shambhu’s based in London, Nishma has performed numerous cookery demos across the UK, both at Jain events or in partnership with The Vegan Society. Her passion for veganism dovetailed nicely with her culinary talent in the founding of Shambhu’s.
Originally from Kenya, of Gujarati Indian heritage and having lived in the UK for the last 25 years, Nishma loves to draw inspiration from a variety of culinary styles and cultures, and this is reflected in her cooking wherever she goes, whether at a Shambhu’s stall at a vegan festival or demonstrating her favourite dishes in front of usually big crowds at catering/cookery classes.
Nishma’s African Fusion with an Asian twist cookery demo at VegfestUK Brighton earlier this year went down a treat with our visitors. And we just can’t wait for Nishma’s unique touch and warm personality when it comes to cookery demos! Plus free tastings of course at the end...

‘Raw food demo’: Saturday December 5th at 1pm in the Living Raw Zone
Both in Hall 3 of the SECC in Glasgow (G3 8YW)
At both events, Nishma will be demoing in partnership with The Vegan Society.
