VegfestUK are delighted to welcome on board business coach, author, speaker, journalist and activist Katrina Fox from Vegan Business Media in Australia at our People’s Vegan Activist Summit at London in October.
Katrina is the founder and editor of Vegan Business Media, an online media hub providing success tips, PR and marketing strategies and resources for vegan business owners and entrepreneurs with a mission of Vegan World Domination – One Business at a Time.
In 2014 Katrina won the Voiceless: The Animal Protection Institute media award for print/online journalism for her article Speciesism: The Final Frontier for the ABC’s The Drum website in Australia (sister organisation to the BBC) and has been an ethical vegan since 1996.
Here’s another playlist of Katrina’s with videos of her talks on media, PR, marketing & storytelling:
We’re thrilled to have her flying all the way from Sydney to attend our first-ever Activists Summit at her hometown. With her unique business-minded approach to activism, Katrina offers practical solutions to vegan advocacy which fit nicely with the Vegfest vibe, and has a strong passion for promoting veganism too at the same time. We just can’t wait to meet her in person. Aspiring vegan business owners certainly won’t want to miss her expert advice and suggestions on building a budding vegan business!
Katrina will give a talk on Vegan World Domination: One Business at a Time on Sunday October 11th at 12pm in the Talks Room at the Activists Summit. She’ll explain why making it as easy as possible for the masses to eschew animal products from their lives is an important role in the animal, health and environmental activism movements. She’ll also reveal vegan entrepreneurs’ secrets of success and how to start and grow your own ethical, advocacy-based business.
Katrina will also have a stall on both October 10th 11th, where she’ll be selling and signing copies of her brand-new book Vegan Ventures: Start & Grow an Ethical Business, a practical and inspirational guide for aspiring and existing vegan business owners and entrepreneurs. The book – which will have its official UK launch at VegfestUK London 2015 – features advice from over 60 business owners and professionals from the US, UK, Canada and Australia. Make sure to come and say hi!
The Activists Summit also features a number of other distinguished guests, including renowned scholar and speaker Prof. Gary L. Francione, presenter and author Dr. Melanie Joy, activist and blogger Tobias Leenaert, scholar Kim Stallwood, activist Ronnie Lee, author and speaker Victoria Moran, plus others TBC very soon.
The education on activism at VegfestUK London blends nicely with the masses of food and shopping on offer from 200 stalls and 14 caterers, alongside entertainment from Kids Activities, Comedy Hours and Music, on top of socialising in the shape of a Teen VGN Zone and a Mature Zone.
