Pig Freud Warm Up Gig Bristol September 26th 2015 2pm

Pig Freud Warm Up Gig Bristol September 26th 2015 2pm

2015-09-17
| by Editor

Pig Freud, the world’s first pink fluffy pig guitarist, today announced plans for a warm up gig on Saturday September 26th at 2pm in Bristol Amphitheatre before he starts his debut Autumn tour of vegan events during October, November and December 2015.

Pig Freud is spearheading a campaign to encourage worldwide peaceful creative vegan activism, in an attempt to halt the execution and consumption of 70 billion animal pals a year for food.

Pig Freud will perform a live version of ‘Wish you were Here’ in memory of his cousin Pig Floyd, who was recently captured and is now sitting on an unnamed supermarket shelf disguised as a multi pack of sausages.

Pig Freud’s fundraising link has been set up, and will go live on October 10th, when he perform live at VegfestUK London for his debut tour appearance:

Pig Freud is up for it,’ said manager Tim Barford from VegfestUK, Europe’s leading vegan events. ‘Make no mistake about that, He is the thinking pig’s pig and is on fire at the moment – a bit like Stevie Naismith.  He just want people to go vegan, and for vegan activists to promote peaceful vegan education. It’s not a lot to ask now, is it?’

Follow Pig Freud on Facebook and on his website www.pigfreud.co.uk

The 5 organisations selected by Pig Freud to be the recipients of his fundraising activities are:

Veggies Catering (Nottingham UK)

‘Veggies has been promoting vegan catering and supporting campaigns for human and animal rights, environmental protection and social justice since 1984. Partly due to their work, veganism is now widely understood.’

London Vegan Actions  (London UK)

A group of vegans who believe that being vegan is not enough; the animals need people to be proactive and campaign vigorously on their behalf to bring about change.   LVA  coordinate regular vegan outreach events as well as organise creative protests in and around London.

The Vegan Intersectionality Project (Dublin, Ireland)

The VIP is a Dublin-based organisation dedicated to public education initiatives based on an intersectional understanding of the entangled nature of modes of oppression and liberation.

The Invercargill Vegan Society  (Invercargill, New Zealand)

The INVSOC is a wonderful example of a thriving friendly effective regional group that focuses on consistent , peaceful and very creative vegan education.  Their main emphasis is on creative fun and effective vegan education which holds true to the original vegan ethos

Vegan Athletes for Peace (Widnes UK)

The brainchild of the world’s first vegan footballer, Neil Robinson, who played for Everton FC in the 70’s. VAFP organises charity fundraisers for vegan outreach groups including a 1000 mile cycle ride with vegan professional footballer Dean Howell and other vegan athletes

Pig Freud would also like to extend a huge amount of gratitude towards Carolyn Bailey and Animal Rights Zone, where he has been studying vegan ethos recently, and advises all activists to engage on ARZ to understand a rights perspective and the vegan ethos more thoroughly.
