Ian Haywood

Ian is delighted to be playing at this event in this celebration of all things vegan.

He's honoured to have the opportunity to play his music to like-minded people, and he hopes that his music can help empower others in this evolution towards a more compassionate world.

Since last year’s event he's completed his 2nd album ‘The Beautiful Dream’ which is inspired by life, and by the natural and spiritual world around us.  Ian looks forward to sharing music from this album with you along with some of his jazz and boogie woogie piano.

"Vegfest events generate such a good vibe and it is a pleasure to be performing again at Brighton 2016. I will be playing a selection of my ambient piano pieces along with jazz and boogie woogie piano and singing a couple of my own songs. Look forward to seeing you there!"

Jack Dean

Having played guitar from his teenage years Jack Dean has spent the past 2 years playing open mics and shows around his local music scene honing his craft and developing a vast back catalogue of socially conscious spoken word indie/folk songs.

Jack Dean was the official support act of the Pig Freud tour in Autumn 2015 across the UK.

One Man and His Beard

One Man And His Beard has over the last 6 years sung at many protests including outside BBC to help save BBC6 Music, and to try and save BBC3 too, Lobby for Libraries at Westminster Hall to help save Libraries, Badger Protest outside Royal Courts Of Justice and Global March For Elephants And Rhino's in Liverpool and had first ever plays on Radio 1 last year with "Keep BBC3 On TV" song, many more protests to come this year!

Killers Riches

Half activist, half musician, Killer's Riches is a one man marriage of rebel ideology and melody. His lyrics range from feminism, to mental health, to anti-capitalism, and won't back down from challenging the powers that be.

Philip Elston

Philip Elston is a vegan performance poet and trumpet player, who combines nature-inspired spoken word with his own musical compositions.

He has written for magazines and animal rights publications and, now based in Hampshire, he continues to write and perform his poetry. In 2013 Philip graduated from Chichester College with a Diploma in Jazz Music.

From encounters with seals and adventures in the Isles of Scilly to the sabotage of fox hunts, expect a cruelty-free delivery of obscure observations and environmental verse interspersed with the warm tones of the trumpet.

Love Revolution

Vegan couple Anthea & Andy Prince, AKA Love Revolution, have steadily built a following in alternative and eco-conscious circles over the last 5 years and have performed at many festivals including Glastonbury. Their chemistry, genial personalities and exciting stage presence have earned them a reputation as a captivating duo.

Anthea’s engaging folk-rock voice and lively rhythm guitar are underpinned by Andy’s adventurous basslines, countermelodies and vocal harmonies. Passionate delivery, memorable choruses and a mixture of personal and universal lyrics are combined effectively in their powerful original songwriting which has garnered critical acclaim. Love Revolution's live performances are a moving experience which take the audience on an uplifting, empowering, poignant and memorable journey.

Mitchell and Vincent

Playing lively traditional music from the British Isles on Fiddle and Nylon strung Guitar; Mitchell and Vincent mix full on instrumentals alongside their own arrangements of traditional songs.

Based in Dorset and Somerset, they perform all over the South West and beyond and have been described as playing: ‘Distinctive yet fresh traditional folk’, musicians who ‘tell stories with their melodies’ and simply ‘Flippin’ brilliant!’. They were picked out as the Lyme Folk Weekend 2014 highlight of the festival after bringing the ‘crowd to tears one moment and to their feet the next’.

Sarah de Warren

Sarah de Warren started writing at the age of 13, but her passion really developed when she moved schools at 14, where her songwriting became a powerful outlet for her feelings. She'd spend hours at the piano, weaving emotive melodies around honest, moving lyrics.

By the age of 18, de Warren had already gained a wealth of experience after performing live around her hometown Weymouth, and so moved to Manchester to begin her music career. Immersing herself in the vibrant music scene of the North West, de Warren began gigging several times a week and created a tangible buzz around her music.

For de Warren, working with producers is a key element to her music.

Her work draws on electronic themes - comparable to the sounds of BANKS, Delilah, and Likke Li - resulting in a soulful, alt-pop vibe. Whether recorded or live, de Warren's music is transcending with an abundance of personality which connects with the audience.

A recent collaboration with Scandinavian producer För Alltid has caught the attention of major music blogs such as Mr Suicide Sheep and Discobelle and is set for a label release on The EDM Network. The song has just broken 150,000 streams.

“I'm Autumn, a seventeen year old singer-songwriter from Southampton, Hampshire. I study Music and Psychology in Sixth Form and have been playing music most of my life. I am currently in the process of making a demo EP, look out for my music in the future!”

VeggieVision Vegan Speed Dating

Karin from VeggieVision hosts a speed-dating session. Karin set up her own speed dating site to connect like-minded souls in the vegan world and has hosted speed dating at VegfestUK events for 2 years running. Her superbly organised sessions are always popular, light-hearted and full of fun and humour. Prior registration is required. The Captains Beard
