Further good news is that we have now got on board a star-studded array of judges to not only judge, but also provide encouragement and suggestions for, our talented group of entrants for this year’s inaugural feature! Judges include:

  • Alex Walker (vegan male model)
  • Jake Yapp (vegan comedian)
  • Tim Shieff (vegan professional English Freerunner)
  • Dr. Will Tuttle (The World Peace Diet)
  • Dr. Casey Taft (Vegan Publishers)

The FxEctive Factor will be presented by Karin Ridgers from VeggieVision alongside show organiser Tim Barford.

Anneka Svenska

Anneka Svenska is a UK Wildlife & Vegan TV Presenter who is also known as ‘The Little Green Angel’. Anneka’s production team ‘Green World TV’ can be seen filming VegFestUK every festival speaking to the public and finding out what is ticking in the world of Veganism.

When Anneka is not filming VegFest UK, she is filming wildlife crime, animal protests and wildlife conservation. Her Green World TV motto ‘We have the power inside to change the world’. Providing a voice for the voiceless and TV shows for charities and causes which otherwise would struggle to get media attention.

This year Anneka has filmed alongside Chris Packham, Bill Oddie, Nigel Marven, Virginia McKenna, Noel Fitzpatrick and Steve Backshall, as well as vegan shorts with Viva!, Jill Robinson, Veganuary, Born Free’s Will Travers and Animal Aid.

Anneka is the Founder of the non-profit animal and environmental organisation ‘Angels for the Innocent Foundation’. (www.angelsfortheinnocent.com) Anneka also co-founded dog rescue charity K-9 Angels in 2011.

Anneka is one of the main writers for Barefoot Vegan Magazine, Vegfest Express, Veganuary as well as being an online blogger for The Eden Channel and a contributing writer to K9 Magazine and Dogs Today.

Alex Walker

Alex has been a model for a decade and featured in GQ Magazine, Calvin Klein and the current Remington campaign. He made the decision to become vegan almost 3 years ago initially for health reasons. However, once he adopted this lifestyle he soon made the connection with animals, realised the benefits for the environment and is now a massive advocate of living this compassionate way of life.

Veganism and healthy eating is a way of life for Alex combined with regular Yoga practice, he only eats Organic foods with his diet being predominately raw. He is currently filming a library of courses online containing super simple vegan cooking tips, recipes and a step by step video tutorial that people can access free through his social media and blog.

As well as television, Jake spent three years working on the 6Music Breakfast Show, writing, performing and producing hourly songs and sketches. He also wrote and performed Pleased to Meet You for BBC Radio 4Extra, in which he played a little old lady called Dora Dale. Who was pretty fruity.

His online clip ‘Radio 4 in 4 Minutes’ has attracted nearly 100,000 views, and, inexplicably, resulted in appearances on Feedback and Broadcasting House.

He’s a committed vegan of three years’ standing. Although mostly lying down. He mainly eats coconut oil.
