Glasgow's Favourite Business Mono celebrates "Justice-for-all" message with vegan campaigner Pig Freud

Glasgow's Favourite Business Mono celebrates "Justice-for-all" message with vegan campaigner Pig Freud

| by Editor

Mono Cafe Bar - recently awarded the highly prestigious Glasgow's Favourite Business award – will be celebrating World Vegan Day on November 1st 2016 with their guest of honour Pig Freud, a pink fluffy cartoon pig famous for his vegan activism and occasional guitar playing.

In the run-up to the huge Vegfest Scotland event at the SECC on December 3rd 4th 2016, which sees a massive celebration of vegan food and lifestyle options, Pig Freud has launched a justice-for-all campaign with billboards around Glasgow during November, and he's thrilled to be invited to help celebrate with Mono and promote a vegan way of life that ensures respect for all living beings, be they humans or animals.

Pig Freud will be appearing at Mono Cafe Bar on Tuesday November 1st 2016 for a joint celebration of the award alongside the launch of his campaign, which follows on from his highly successful poster campaign during the Edinburgh Fringe in August, during which he appeared on a number of telephone box posters in the city centre.

Pig Freud’s  manager Tim Barford (also the organiser of Vegfest Scotland) is clearly thrilled to be invited to join in the celebrations at Mono.

“Veganism is massively on the rise, with currently over 1 million people in the UK looking for vegan options, and to see Mono winning Glasgow's Favourite Business Award is a testament to both the  enormous increase in popularity and demand for quality vegan options, as well as the hard working team from Mono” said Tim. “Pig Freud is a clear-cut justice-for-all campaigner. As a pig, you can understand why he sees veganism as a straightforward issue of justice for all beings, and this approach to veganism is shared by growing numbers of people across the globe.”

Craig Tannock from Mono in Glasgow adds, “It's really encouraging to see not only such a growth in veganism, but also a return to the key message of veganism which is justice for all living beings. Big thanks to Pig Freud and the Vegfest Scotland crew for helping with this.”
