Koko Dairy Free Yogurts Available in Tesco from 24th October 2016

Koko Dairy Free Yogurts Available in Tesco from 24th October 2016

| by Editor

Exciting news! Three flavours of Koko Dairy Free’s delicious range of dairy free yogurt alternatives will be available in Tesco from 24th October following a successful launch in Asda, Morrison’s, Ocado and the independent health food trade. Customer reaction to the new range has been extremely positive and with the UK’s largest retail chain taking the strawberry, plain and coconut and lemon variants it will be much easier for vegans to get their fix of these tasty yogurt alternatives.

For anyone who hasn’t heard of them, Koko’s yogurt alternatives are dairy free, soya free and major allergen free. They are made with freshly pressed coconut cream for a silky smooth creamy texture, and fermented with live dairy free yogurt cultures for the true taste of yogurt. The fruit variants contain perfectly ripe fruit pieces and natural flavours for a delicious tempting fruitiness.

The range consists of Original Plain in a 500g pot and Strawberry, Raspberry, Peach and Passionfruit, and Coconut and Lemon flavours in 2x 125g packs. It also has a nutritional profile that is similar to dairy yogurts and contains added calcium and vitamins.  So for the first time people will feel able to choose a dairy free and allergen free option without making any sacrifices, and also enjoying all that’s great about coconuts.

Coconuts are a tropical fruit which are full of vitamins, minerals and healthy fats. The medium chain fatty acids in coconuts are broken down quickly in the body for energy rather than being stored. They are also thought to have antibacterial, antimicrobial and antiviral properties and to aid brain cognition.

Koko Dairy Free is unique in sourcing their coconut from the family’s own plantation. They have more than twenty years’ experience in harvesting coconuts at their ripest and then creating the highest quality coconut based products. They were working with coconuts well before it became the latest thing!
