Whether you’re a newbie vegan, a long-time vegan or not yet vegan, but just looking for something different in your vegan cookery repertoire, our seasoned chefs and demonstrators will provide plenty of tips for both your cookery and your activism toolkits.

 

 

Think Like a Chef

Vegan chef Day Radley will show you how to create easy quick but perfectly balanced meals whilst also showing you chef cheats. She believes that anyone can think like a chef and indeed be a chef, and she will show you how.......

Several different methods to make inexpensive and yummy vegan cheese

Cheese addicts and connoisseurs looking to veganise their beloved cheeses will not want to miss out on a couple of demonstrations by local vegan chef Mel Rogers. Mel runs regularly vegan cheese workshops in Bristol and at the event she will show you several different methods to make inexpensive and yummy vegan cheese.....giving you the knowledge to make it at home...you'll never go back to shop bought!

Superfood Cocktails

Learn from ‘Raw Food Rosie’ Rosie Purdye on how to make superfood veganised versions of your favourite cocktails. Classic cocktail recipes are given a modern and healthy twist by combining spirits with freshly pressed juices and superfoods, to create healthy and delicious versions of your favourites. Come and sample everything from Pina Colada made with Thai young coconuts and fresh pineapple to creamy baileys made with cold-pressed coffee and coconut cream.

Vegan Jamaican Cooking

Take culinary trip to the Caribbean and learn how to make some vegan Jamaican food with Kirly-Sue the vegan cook, food columnist, cook book author and TV presenter. Kirly-Sue is a food columnist for Pride Magazine (a glossy women's magazine) and she also has a food column in The Voice Newspaper.

Vegan cakes and pastries 

Timea Huber – the Head Pastry Chef at 1847 Brighton, the most recent opening from the 1847 vegetarian and vegan bistros, who also have sites in Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester – will be sharing tips on making vegan pastries and cakes, and sharing her recipe for vegan macaroons.

Golden Milk, Chocolate Brownie & Kale Crisps

Anna Middleton of Rawsome will be showing us how to make anti-inflammatory turmeric milk using pumpkin seeds & cardamom. Followed with sun-dried tomato, basil & baobab kale crisps and ending with a decadent squidgy sugar-free chocolate brownie. All suitable for anyone following raw, vegan, diabetic and gluten free diets.

Did you know that, as well as enjoying them straight out of their skin, there is so much more you can do with the versatile banana to make some tasty dishes oozing with vegan whole food goodness? Join Nishma Shah of Shambhu's as she reveals some banana secrets and cooks up some banana delights :-)

Living Deliciously Raw

Join Deborah Durrant AKA The Flavour Fashionista, founder of the Deliciously Raw Culinary School, in how to make delicious raw plant-based food using techniques that may surprise you. This is for people who love food, who want to eat healthily yet don't want to compromise on taste.

Ackee and tofu with fried dumplings and plantain 

Jeanette Campbell of Bristol-based Caribbean restaurant Fi Real will be cooking Jamaica's National dish ackee, veganised by using small tofu pieces instead of salted fish. Delicious Caribbean food cooked in a unique and tasty way like you've never tasted before.
