New album from the world's first vegan professional footballer

New album from the world's first vegan professional footballer

| by Neil Robinson

My big passions in life are my family, veganism, football, health & fitness…and music! I couldn’t imagine life without music and if I’m not listening to music I’m more than likely composing it. I don’t play any instruments but thanks to technology - my PC and music software - I’ve been composing music for almost 20 years now. As long as you have the creativity within you, anybody can compose these days.

My new album “Anbody Here?", is a collection of eight ‘sample-fused’ tunes - an eclectic mix of musical genres ranging from jazz, classical, choral, folk, drum & bass, chillout - and anything in-between, which I’ve termed 'world fusion'.

For me, music has no boundaries so I set out to mix some tunes integrating as many musical styles as I could, and I’m really pleased with the outcome.

All the tunes were composed just to be ‘enjoyed’ by the listener - but with “We Can Heal This” I actually set out to put together a tune with a message. When you listen to “We Can Heal This”, you may find it a bit harrowing but it's my attempt to raise awareness to the world that we have to somehow help all the children on the planet who are impoverished, dying of hunger, and abused physically, sexually or mentally. For me, adopting a vegan lifestyle of peace and compassion is an absolute necessity and is the only way we can heal the health of the planet, the health of all animals, and the health of all humans, in particular our planet’s future – the children. I don't mind admitting that I've cried many times when listening to this track - it was harrowing just mixing the track - but I feel it’s important we keep the global distress of all the unfortunate millions of suffering children at the forefront of our minds - and not 'out of sight, out of mind'. WORLD GO VEGAN!
