FabFudge Vegan Fudge comes to VegfestUK

FabFudge Vegan Fudge comes to VegfestUK

| by Jill Marriner

Hi, my name is Jill. I'm 47 years old and live in Bristol, UK and run #FabFudge.

I currently work part time, as I am unable to work full time owing to Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

I am raising money for HSCT (Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation) which has about an 87% chance of halting my MS.

I have chosen to receive treatment in Russia as HSCT is not available on the NHS - it is only in the trial stage in the UK, in line with other countries currently using it as trial, Chicago being the beginning, but has been used as a standard, successful treatment in Russia for over ten years. Even so, the waiting list there is over two years long.

I started making fudge for friends as Christmas presents because we were struggling to save every penny for treatment. It was popular and they said ‘you could sell this to fundraise!’ so we started #FabFudge to help towards my treatment.

We have sold our fudge at Bristol Harbourside & St Nicholas Markets, and we owe a BIG shout-out to the manager & staff at Southville Deli in Bedminster and St George, who continue to stock (and buy!) our ever-expanding vegan fudge range.

We cater to most diets as we felt it was right to make all customers welcome & inclusive. We source our ingredients very carefully, and can create fudge to custom requirements. We make our own condensed milk for the vegan fudge using coconut, soya, hemp and rice milk. We want to make fudge available to everyone, and we also recognise that we have become a huge hit with vegans - being told that there is nothing out there like our fudge brings a huge smile to our faces.

Our vegan fudge range has come into its own as our flagship product, we can’t wait to see where it takes us.

I want to carry on the business after the treatment, to help support a new HSCT charity currently being set up to assist others in a similar situation & because it's very empowering to be my own boss!

Don’t forget to come to my stall at A22 in the Amphitheatre Marquee, on Sunday May 21st 2017 at VegfestUK Bristol 2017. I’ll be doing a special offer of “Buy 3 get the 4th FREE” throughout the Sunday, so make sure you get some vegan fudge from me and contribute to a great cause at the same time.

Please note: whilst there’s an extensive range of vegan fudges from FabFudge, not all their products are vegan. Please do check the ingredients carefully before purchase if shopping online.
