Now in its 15th year, VegfestUK Bristol is set to celebrate with a massive House Party on Saturday May 20th 2017. Billed as the “Show Me Love” party, and headlined with a live set from Robin S, along with DJ Danny Rampling, and Rozalla (Everybody’s Free), the event harks back to the heady days of rave music from the early 90’s….and then on Sunday, Dub Pistols headline alongside South African reggae acts ZionRuts and local Bristol-based hip-hop crew The Scribes.
“Saturday is definitely what you might call a house party with an extra sprinkling of quattro formaggio with grated mozzarella and some melted ‘Sheese’ – all vegan of course,” say VegfestUK organisers. “Danny Rampling is of course a household name for many following his long-time stints on Radio 1, and we’re particularly thrilled to welcome Robin S from the USA who many will remember for her iconic multimillion-selling hit ‘Show Me Love’. Likewise, Rozalla, who had a huge hit with ‘Everybody’s Free’ will be performing live. And if that wasn’t enough, we also have Nicky Holloway, the original house promoter from the Shoom days of the mid-80’s, which was at the very heart of original house music as we know it today.”
“The Sunday lineup has a traditional reggae / hip-hop / dub feel to it, with Dub Pistols headlining and ZionRuts from South Africa supporting alongside local Bristol hip-hop talents The Scribes. We will be expecting capacity crowds on both days.”
