Richmond welcomes Asian Wellness and Vegan Festival on July 29th 2017

2017-06-28
| by Editor

After a couple of successful vegan and yoga events this year, Yogific is proudly bringing a new Asian Wellness and Vegan Festival in Richmond to Surrey, on July 29th 2017 at the Richmond Adult Community College, with the aim of celebrating the richness and diversity of Asian culture whilst showcasing a large variety of Asian vegan cuisine.

At the festival, you can enjoy live music and dance performances, eat loads of yummy Asian vegan food, shop from over 80 colourful stalls and take part in and other interesting activities at the Asian Festival. A fun family day out guaranteed – FREE entry for children under 14.

The mouthwatering range of Asian vegan food includes Indian dosas, samosas, chutneys and bhajis, sushis, Chinese steamed baos and fried noodles, Thai curries and spring rolls, falafel wraps, salads and houmous, and much more!

There will be cookery classes such as a vegan maki making session where you get to learn how to wrap the Maki perfectly.

There will be 10 FREE all day Yoga, Tai Chi and Qi Gong classes from expert teachers at the festival. Discover the Asian wellbeing techniques to keep your mind, body and soul healthy! Please bring your mats.

There will be many pop-up classes on the day - one of them being the Bhangra Dance class. Open for all. The teacher will teach you some easy Bhangra steps. The Punjabi music is so awesome that everyone would want to join in!

Nishi from Karan's Bollywood Masterclass added, “We are proud to announce Karan's Bollywood Masterclass as the official entertainment partner of the event. We are very pleased to support such a diverse and cultural event in the heart of Richmond. Founded by Indian celebrity dancer and choreographer, Karan Pangali, our dance group will be showcasing live performances and also conducting a workshop to get everyone Bollywood dancing and experience a fun wellness workout. We will be there for the day and we’re happy to meet and greet everyone who wants to find out more about dance from as young as toddlers all the way through to adults and 60-year plus."

The organisers have also in store a big game of Musical Chairs for adults combined with a hint of Bollywood dancing. Only £1 to enter and you can win a grand prize. The money will go to one of the festival’s partner charities including Miracle’s Mission.

There’s moreover going to have a beautiful henna stall at the festival where you can get some lovely henna art on your hands.

For further updates on the stallholders involved and the event programme of activities, follow the Facebook event page here.
