Plenty of vegan goodies await at Veganuary party at VegfestUK Brighton 2018

| by Editor | Posted in VegfestUK Brighton 2018

VegfestUK is celebrating the success of the Veganuary campaign in 2018 with a special Veganuary “Class of 2018” reunion party at the upcoming Brighton event on Sunday March 25th 2018 at the Brighton Centre.

More about the Veganuary party

Taking place between 1:30 – 3:30pm in the Stage area in the Main Foyer on G/F of the venue, the party will consist of mingling, food and drinks, games and speeches for up to 200 people who have registered to attend in advance (party is not open to the general public). Whilst the lovely Veganuary team will have in store a selection of vegan-themed games, inflatables, photo frames and an assortment of snacks for participants, the VegfestUK organisers are delighted to announce the selection of treats lined up so far, and they would like to extend big thanks to all the contributors involved in this blog post.

Food and Drinks selection so far

Thanks to the following companies, we have got a string of vegan goodies lying in wait for the lucky participants who have registered to attend the party:

Creative Nature

Creative Nature is a young, ethical organisation that was established to promote health, creativity and respect for the environment, by increasing awareness of environmental, social and health issues, and by providing the highest quality natural products. They produce award-winning cold-pressed superfood snack bars: Goji Goodness, Raw Cacao, Ginger Teatox, Apple Pie, Salted Caramel, Orange Cacao and Peanut Protein.

Creative Nature will be donating to the party a selection of their superfood snack bars.

Global Fusion

Vegan Creole bakery at its best from this family business who has been a Vegfest regular for a number of years.

Global Fusion will be donating to the party, a couple of their large bakes.

Good Carma Foods

Good Carma was established by Charlotte Bates, a vegan since 2010 who offers an alternative to dairy cheese without sacrificing flavour but using healthy and nutritious ingredients. Good Carma’s cheese style products are now enjoyed by both vegans and non-vegans alike.

Good Carma Foods will be donating to the party: 3 of each of their Flavour Fusion Range (total 9 units) and 3 of their Spread Sensation - total 12 units.

Loving Earth Ltd

Loving Earth is a Melbourne based company dedicated to sourcing and manufacturing the highest quality organic, fairly traded and wild-crafted functional foods available. They work with small producer communities around the world to provide healthy, sustainable & fair ingredients, which the company uses to handcraft their unique range of raw chocolate bars and superfood snacks.

Loving Earth will be donating to the party: 11 bars of their raw vegan chocolate in one case.

Matcha NOW

Matcha Now is a carton of pure turbo-boost, ready to rehydrate, refresh and re-energise. Keeping 2.5g of Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha in the cap means that it loses none of the goodness from being premixed – it’s the ideal no-nasties energy burst. Grab ‘n go, then twist ‘n shake!

Matcha NOW will be donating to the party: 24 bottles of their uplifting matcha.

Moo Free Chocolates

Moo Free is a manufacturer of free-form and vegan chocolates. All of Moo Free's products are made with their special recipe that ensures that their products really do taste like quality "milk" chocolate, but are made without any milk. In addition, all of their products are produced in special dairy free, gluten free and soya free clean rooms. This ensures that none of their products contains even a trace of milk, gluten or soya.

Moo Free Chocolates will be donating to the party: 100 bags of their chocolate.

One Planet Pizza

One Planet Pizza is a new company which will make a range of frozen vegan pizzas that are... Good for you; Good for the planet; and Good for the Animals we share this world with… And of course Great Tasting!

One Planet Pizza will be donating to the party: 24 slices of their freshly baked pizza.

Perk!er Foods

Delicious PERK!ER Quinoa bars! Crafted with care & packed with the goodness of superfoods, their snacks are bursting with nutritious energy, high in fibre, 5g protein & rich in antioxidants too! Try Perk!er’s newbie Peanut bar with creamy peanut butter and crunchy peanuts! Free-from gluten, palm oil & cane sugar.

Perk!er Foods will be donating a selection of their delectable snack bars to the party.

Pitfield Brewery

Pitfield are bringing their Happy Sturgeon vegan pub to Brighton.  They serve handpulled and keg craft beer, cider, and wine. Dominion Pale Ale, Dominion Porter, Dominion Woodbine Racer, guest craft, and Belgian beers will all be available.

Pitfield will be donating 60x 500ml bottles of their lovely pale ale to participants of the party.

In Pudology’s words, “We really do travel the globe in search of the perfect blend of ingredients – Indonesian Coconut; Madagascan Vanilla; Belgian Chocolate; Brazilian Orange Oil & Sicilian Lemon Oil… But it’s what we don’t put into our Clever Little Treats that makes them so delicious – NO gluten, dairy, nuts or egg. The result? Pure Pudology!”

Pudology will be donating a small selection of their puds to the party.

Rosina Makes

Rosina Makes is a family business that has been making vegan cakes and bakes, without gluten, due to two of their family members not being able to eat gluten, dairy, milk, and other ingredients. They are constantly inventing new recipes, always in search of perfection.

Rosina Makes are making a number of Veganuary-branded vegan cupcakes for participants of the party.

Slab Artisan Vegan Fudge

Slab Artisan Fudge differs from mass-produced fudge in that it is made lovingly by hand in small batches. The result? A unique fudge with a distinctive flavour and texture – creamy, rich and unctuous. From the indulgent Sea Salted Caramel and Death By Chocolate to the beautifully fruity Raspberry & White Chocolate and Lemon Meringue, all twelve fudge flavours are cooked by hand on the stove-top by their passionate artisan fudge-maker.

Slab Artisan Fudge will be donating 20 slabs of their fudge to the party.

TheVegWays is the first, and currently only, company in the UK that sources and sells exclusively Italian vegan products. Proud to deliver the finest wine ‘n’ food to environmentally-conscious epicureans, all of TheVegWays’ products have been ethically made and are 100% sustainable, organic, and vegan.

TheVegWays will be donating 2 boxes of their Enriched Pasta to the party.

Success of Veganuary in 2018

The Veganuary team have had a sterling campaign in January 2018 with a record number of signups for their annual initiative for everybody to be vegan during the month of January and stay vegan afterwards – their survey also revealed that 62% of Veganuary participants in 2018 have pledged to stay vegan after January 2018, so huge congratulations to Veganuary for all their hard work and inspiring campaign for changing the lifestyles of many (human and non-human) on the planet.

Talk on Veganuary results in 2018

Moreover, straight after the party, the co-founders of Veganuary, Matthew Glover and Jane Land, will be giving a joint talk on the success of Veganuary 2018 – between 4:00 – 4:45pm in the Stage area (same room as the party). The talk will be open to the general public.
